Nominations for the newly launched Edusave Character Award are now open to pupils, staff, parents and public. The closing date for the submission is 30 August 2016 .

The objectives of the Edusave Character Award (ECHA) are:

  1. To reinforce the importance that MOE places on character and values, on par with achievements in the academic domain; and
2. To recognise outstanding students in each school who are exemplary in character, and who can be role models to inspire others.

  1. The nominee must be a Singapore citizen.
  2. The nominee passes school examination.
  3. The nominee is a role model in his/her conduct (behaviour and actions) and attitude.
  4. The nominee has demonstrated, clearly and consistently , aspects of the following core values:

(i) Responsibility :
being accountable and trustworthy in own areas of duties*, displaying integrity and teamwork during the conduct of the duties

*areas of duties include role as a pupil, involvement in class and CCA matters and other school duties

(ii) Resilience :
being adaptable to changes and/or challenges, showing full commitment , having a sense of aspirations and achievements and setting high expectations

  1. The nomination must state clear evidence of how the nominee has demonstrated the school values and that he/she is a role model for others.

ECHA awardee will receive a certificate and a monetary voucher of $500.

Completed nomination form should be submitted to the General Office or via school's generic email address ( damai_ss@moe.edu.sg ) before 30 th August 2016 . Indicate “Nomination for Edusave Character Award” in the email subject.

Submissions after the closing date will not be accepted.
