Halal Rice/Noodle Stall (Application closes 10 April 2026)
Damai Secondary School has a vacancy for the following canteen stall Halal Rice/Noodle Stall starting from 27 April 2026.
Requirements
Interested applicants must satisfy the following requirements:

Must be Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident |
|
2. |
Be healthy and fit |
|
3. |
Able to provide food that meets the health/nutritional standards set by Health Promotion Board in the Healthy Meals in Schools Program* and carry the Healthier Choice Symbol/Healthier Snack Symbol Logo. |

4. |
Able to provide good service and quality food at reasonable prices |
|
5. |
Able to observe a high standard of food and personal hygiene |
|
6. |
Preferably have some catering experience or experience in running a school canteen stall |

7. |
Both applicant & stall assistant(s) must have passed the WSQ Basic Food Hygiene Course conducted by any of the accredited training providers appointed by Skills Future Singapore. The applicant will then be required to apply for a hawker license from Singapore Food Agency upon successful course completion |

Application Procedure
Interested applicants may download the application form (as attached) or obtain a hardcopy from the school’s General Office (Monday to Friday – 8.00am to 5.00pm). If you wish to visit the school to obtain or submit the hardcopy form, please do so from now to 10 April 2026.

Please submit the following to the General Office by 10 April 2026 (Friday) by 4.00pm.
a. Completed application form
b. Supporting documents (E.g. Photocopy of NRIC – Front and Back, and relevant certificate e.g. Basic Food Hygiene Course); and
c. List of Proposed Food Items for Sale. Please include a picture of each food item with the respective stated prices.
Interview and Food Tasting
Please note that only shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview and may be required to provide food sampling (at applicant’s own expense). Successful applicant(s) are expected to commerce operation of the stall by 27 April 2026 (Monday).

(Possible type of stall: Indonesian, Thailand, Vietnamese, or Fusion etc. Open to proposals except for Japanese/Korean food.)

Interest applicants must meet the following criteria:

Singapore citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR) for stallholder and stall assistant.

Healthy and fit to operate the stall

Able to provide good service and quality food with prices determined in consultation with the school.

Able to provide cooked food that meets the health / nutritional standards set by the Health Promotion Board (HPB) under the "Healthy Meals in Schools Programme (HMSP)" guidelines (refer to this link).

Able to maintain high standard of food safety and personal hygiene.
Applicants should preferably fulfil the following criteria:

Successful applicant and stall assistant(s) must possess the WSQ Basic Food Hygiene Certificate conducted by any of the accredited training providers appointed by Skills Future Singapore.

Possess catering experience or experience operating in a school environment.

Successful applicant is expected to commerce operation of the stall by 27 April 2026 (Monday).

Successful applicant is required to apply for a food stall license from Singapore Food Agency (SFA).
Shortlisted applicants will be notified for an interview and will be required to provide food sampling for the School Canteen Selection Committee at the applicant's own expense.
