Parent Support Group
Parents Support Group (PSG) @ Damai
Parents play a key role in the growth and development of their children. As key stakeholders, parents’ partnership with the school is essential in supporting students’ learning and well-being. PSG@Damai embraces the school’s vision and mission, and actively supports the school’s endeavours. Our PSG members role model the school values, add value to students’ school experiences, and serve as a bridge between the school and the wider parent community.
Our Key Roles
The PSG supports and collaborates with the school in the following ways:
-
serving as chaperones during learning journeys and school events
-
participating actively in school activities
-
organising and conducting family activities to strengthen familial bonds and build meaningful relationships
-
oromoting parenting skills through workshops and sharing sessions
-
serving as resource persons to support school programmes
Our Logo
The PSG@Damai logo, designed by members in 2021, reflects the spirit of partnership. The heart of the flower symbolises the PSG’s dedication and commitment. The petals outlined by the word Damai represent the strengthening of the PSG–school partnership to enhance students’ learning experiences. The five petals depict the five key roles of the PSG.
Parenting Resources
Parents can access a range of parenting resources to support their child’s development:
Triple P is an evidence-based programme that equips parents with practical strategies to promote their children’s psychological, social and emotional well-being. It offers different levels of support to meet parents’ varying needs.
PSG Highlights 2025
In 2025, PSG@Damai organised two bonding workshops for parents and their children:
-
The 5 Love Languages Workshop — conducted by a parent volunteer. This workshop helped parents connect more deeply with their children by understanding their unique love languages.
-
Parent–Teen Sneaker Art Jamming Session — a fun and creative activity designed to strengthen parent–child relationships and create lasting memories.
In addition, the PSG actively contributes to major school events such as Secondary 1 Camp, National Day, Racial Harmony Day and Teachers’ Day, enhancing the vibrancy and sense of community at Damai.
