Racial Harmony Day 2025
Racial Harmony Day Mini Carnival
This year marked a special milestone for Damai Secondary as we held our first-ever Racial Harmony Day Mini Carnival. The celebrations kicked off with the What Say You? assembly programme, which encouraged students to reflect on what harmony means to them. Following that, everyone was treated to a nostalgic spread of old-school snacks and they enjoyed traditional games such as the eraser battle and hopscotch, bringing a sense of kampung spirit to our school grounds.
However, the commemoration did not stop there. Throughout the week, activities continued to deepen our appreciation of Singapore’s multicultural identity. During CCE lessons, students explored themes of multiculturalism and the importance of respect in a diverse society. As part of their National Education learning journey, Secondary 1 students visited various places of worship, gaining first-hand insight into the beliefs and practices of different communities.
Our Racial Harmony Day experience this year was not just a one-day celebration. It was a meaningful journey of learning, reflection and shared experiences that truly lived out the spirit of harmony.
